Edge has carved one of the most iconic comeback stories ever. After being forced to quit wrestling back in 2011 due to triple fusion neck surgery, the Rated-R Superstar made his miraculous WWE return, back in 2020. The former World Heavyweight Champion brought back a plethora of undying emotions with him too.
Ever since coming back, we’ve seen him feud against superstars like Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Finn Balor and more. As made clear by his first speech post-return on Raw after Royal Rumble 2020, he came back to end his career on own terms and in a hope to pass on the legacy to the upcoming generation.
However, the undeniable fact is that this can’t just keep going forever. All good things are destined to meet their Judgement Day and same can be said for The Master Manipulator as well. Back in September of this year, Edge wrestled in against Damian Priest in his hometown of Toronto. After pulling off a courageous triumph, Edge grabbed the microphone and turned emotional.
The inevitable happened as the Hometown hero announced his retirement plans in front of his very people. The legend stated that when WWE tours Canada next time, and that’s usually August, he would love to have a greeting and performance in Toronto, one last time. Well, here’s some of the best options who can bid a farewell to Edge.

Edge and Styles were involved in a dream affair this past spring, which had an underwhelming response overall. For some unspecified reasons, there was simply no sort of crowd connect and engaging material in their rivalry. At Wrestlemania 38, these men collided for the first-time-ever. However, the match was an absolute snooze-fest that ended on an abrupt note.
Keeping in mind the obvious disappointment, the Phenomenal One can once again circle back to the Rated-R Superstar and pull off one gem of a retirement story with the Canadian great. Emotions will run high and there won’t be a much better way to cap off Edge’s illustrious wrestling journey than this, involving AJ Styles.

“The Viper” Randy Orton is counted amongst some of the greatest rivals of Edge. Both men share immense history together and they know this business better than anyone else. If given the freedom to script their own ideas, the eventual product can bust off the charts.
Edge’s first opponent post-return was Randy Orton and how poetic would that be if the 14-time World Champion ends this fairytale run as well. Well, the major concern at the moment is The Apex Predator’s own well-being. He recently underwent a surgery for his injured back and a return date at this juncture is not given. Fans really hope for his WWE return at some point.

The final or we should say the most wanted name in this list is of John Cena. The fans won’t care if the Franchise Player wrestlers only a single match next year, until and unless it’s to serve the purpose to provide a perfect send-off to Edge.
Who can ever forget that exemplary night between them at the New Year’s Revolution in 2006 when Edge defeated Cena to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. These bonafide legends had tons of epic clashes together and an ultimate farewell will be done for Edge when they meet in the ring one final time.
