Driver OK as train slams into vehicle near Boise Town Square Mall

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- No one was injured after a vehicle vs train crash near the Boise Town Square Mall.

The crash occurred near Milwaukee north of Franklin.

Officers say the female driver, who was the only one inside, was sitting on the railroad tracks waiting for the light to change when her vehicle was struck. Milwaukee Street was closed from Franklin to the entrance of the mall while BPD investigated the scene.

Boise PD says the driver, 74-year-old Marketa Bachini of Nyssa, Ore., received a citation for stopping on the tracks.
