Although Rocket Racing is currently in season zero, I have a lot of anticipation for what is to come in season one in 2024. It looks very promising with the additional tracks, modes, and content.

Speed is the key in Rocket Racing, and if you want to rank up the leaderboard and reach higher ranks, then you will need to understand the key mechanics of the game. One of these key mechanics is the boost mechanic. In this guide, I will discuss how to boost start, so you can get ahead of the competition from the get-go.

How to Boost Start

To boost at the beginning of your race, you will have to be dexterous, as it involves pressing specific keys. You will have to do it by the countdown, which is followed by the appearance of four circles that progressively turn red from left to right.

The crucial moment occurs when the fourth circle transitions to green, signaling the race’s commencement. To achieve a starting boost, you need to hold down the accelerate button (right trigger) just before the fourth circle lights up. While mastering the timing may take a few attempts, practice will make it second nature.

You might not be able to succeed boost start on your first try. To achieve a 100% boost, start Securing the perfect 100% starting boost, which hinges on mastering your timing on the accelerate button.

Moreover, you will also get a boost percentage even if they come close (such as a 95% boost), but hitting 100% ensures the best chance of surging ahead of other cars, particularly at the race’s outset.
