2024 is the year of Jax!
The multi-talented singer/songwriter kicked off summer by sharing her debut album Dear Joe, and to no surprise, it soared on the charts immediately upon its release thanks to brutally honest lyrics paired with catchy melodies.
In its first week, the 20-track project landed in the No. 3 slot on the iTunes Pop Albums chart, No. 8 on the iTunes Global Albums Chart, No. 9 on Spotify’s US Albums Chart and No. 10 on the iTunes Pop Chart.
Available via Atlantic Records, Dear Joe features Jax’s highly-anticipated new single “How Dare You,” alongside her previously released “Zombieland” with HARDY and her iconic, platinum-certified smash hit “Victoria’s Secret.” Showcasing her incredible talents paired with her viral comedic personality, the 28-year-old’s first-ever project tackles relatable subjects like heartbreak, growth and what it’s really like navigating Hollywood and everything that comes with being a young woman in the music industry.
“Welcome to the purge. I cut most of the ‘friends’ out of my life, fired almost everyone, cried in isolation for a few weeks and wrote an album about what I was feeling,” Jax says about her debut album. “Dear Joe is about heartbreak, growing pains, Hollyweird, and the predators of my adolescence…Every other song is a ukulele shower thought. This is my strange little first album. Ask your mom who Joe is.”
In honor of its release, Jax posted a clip of “too young to be old,” to Instagram and TikTok, a stand-out track off the album penned as a beautiful tribute to her father. The heartwarming video has garnered over 76.2 million views and more come in as the days go by, along with sweet messages from fans worldwide.

Since she began sharing her own original music in late 2020, Jax has become an icon on nearly every screen imaginable with now over 1.2 billion global career streams. Her TikTok covers and parodies proved at least one positive to emerge from the pandemic, going viral countless times over with clips like “Stacy’s Mom from Stacy’s Mom’s Perspective” and “Update from Avril Lavigne & Sk8er Boi 18 years later” having now garnered her over 14 million followers on the platform and over 253 million “likes” to date. In 2022 she out-viraled even herself though, unleashing RIAA Platinum-certified single “Victoria’s Secret” that would go on to become a universal anthem for body positivity and anti-bullying. Originally shared on TikTok as part of her “The Kid I Babysit” series, her personal take and blunt honesty quickly resonated with her followers and beyond – amassing over 450 million global streams to date, her debut entry on the Billboard Hot 100, and peaks of #9 on Top 40 and #2 on Hot AC radio.
“I think the most awesome part of this whole experience is getting to meet kids with their moms and their dads at these events being like, ‘oh, I didn’t know talk to my kid about this’ because you know when your mom tells you you’re beautiful, you’re like, ‘shut up, you’re supposed to say that, you’re my mom?’ I feel like I may be accidentally be filling that older sister type of role and it’s so good,” Jax said about the success of “Victoria’s Secret” during an interview with Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas in 2022. “I’ve never had sisters so it’s really cool to feel like I have this kind of older sister feeling right now where I could be like, ‘hey wake up, don’t compare your body to all this stuff you’re seeing.'”
In addition to breaking records, Jax has had the opportunity to perform her original songs live on The TODAY Show, The Drew Barrymore Show, Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve, the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and more. On stage, Jax has toured as part of iHeartRadio’s 2022 Jingle Ball tour (including stops at Madison Square Garden in New York City and The Kia Forum in Los Angeles) and most recently with Simple Plan on their 2024 Australian tour (in addition to featuring on the band’s single “Iconic”).
With a lot under her belt and still more to conquer, we can’t wait to see what’s next for Jax.
