Martin Mull is an American actor, comedian, musician/recording artist, and painter. He is known for his roles in the films Serial, My Bodyguard (1980), Mr. Mom, How the West Was Fun, Clue (1985), Cutting Class (1989), Mrs. Doubtfire, Jingle All the Way, Richie Rich’s Christmas Wish, and A Futile and Stupid Gesture; and on the shows Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman; Fernwood 2 Night, Roseanne, Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996), Danny Phantom, in voice performance; Arrested Development, Two and a Half Men, and Veep.
Martin is the son of Betty Mull, an actress and director, and Harold Mull, a carpenter. He was raised in North Ridgeville, Ohio, from a young age, before moving to New Canaan, Connecticut, when he was fifteen. Martin is married to vocalist and keyboardist Wendy Haas, of the bands Santana and Azteca. The couple has a daughter, Maggie, who has been a television executive producer.
Martin’s paternal grandfather was Harold Root Mull (the son of Adam Preston Mull and Marion Adele/Adell Mole). Harold was born in Ohio. Adam was the son of Richard Dorius Mull and Ella/Ellen Amanda Martin. Marion was the daughter of William Mole and Sarah Althea Blantern/Blanton.
