It’s almost Christmas, and along with the excitement, our beloved Food Network competition show, Christmas Cookie Challenge, is back for its sixth installment.
Just like the previous season, this year, five bakers competed in each episode to show off their holiday cookie-making skills to win that $10,000 grand prize. And judging them was lead judge Ree Drummond, joined by a rotating panel of judges Kimberly Bailey, James Briscione, Damiano Carrara, Dan Langan, Jamika Pessoa, Jordan Pilarski, Aarti Sequeira, and Joy Wilson.
Among them, Food Network fans might recognize Dan Langan as a finalist in Season 2 of the Spring Baking Championship, and James Briscione is a four-time Food Network champion.
Likewise, Kimberly is known for her time on Home & Family, and Christmas Cookie Challenge 2017. We might as well say that she’s a returning judge on the show.
Her Food Network bio wrote, “Kimberly Bailey is a baker, cake artist, and owner of The Butter End Cakery in Los Angeles. After moving from New York to Los Angeles in 2008, Kimberly was diagnosed with cancer. During this time, she found her new love of cake decorating, losing herself in creating and testing new recipes and learning how to decorate.”
Kimberly Bailey flaunted a net worth of above $2 million in 2022.
After from New York to Los Angeles in 2008, Kimberly was diagnosed with cancer and it was only thereafter, she found her new love for baking cakes. In October 2009, she then founded The Butter End Cakery and has never looked back.
Proud of where she is today, Kimberly said she didn’t start off by showcasing her work on Food Network, rather, the humble beginnings of The Butter End began in a 200-square-foot guest cottage in Venice, CA. It was a small but mighty team of women who pulled together as a family to create magical and delicious cakes.
A decade later, The Butter End is now one of the most renowned custom cake shops in the world. They offer custom works of art for celebrities and Hollywood studios.
Also, they offer classes and workshops for any interested students.
Her baking skill has also taken Kimberly to TV sets including Home & Family, Christmas Cookie Challenge, Duff Til Dawn, and Buddy v.s Duff.
As for her education, she attended Fairleigh Dickinson University; The Art Institute of Philadelphia.
Kimberly Bailey was 53 years of age when she appeared in Christmas Cookie Challenge in 2022.
She was one of the older judges that season.
Kimberly Bailey’s family members include George J Bailey, Daniel E Walters, Justin P Bailey, George J Bailey, Joesph J Bailey, Edith E Bailey, and Carol A Bailey.
Kimberly Bailey wasn’t married. Or so her FB profile said in 2022.
But previously, she was married to Adam Duckett, a Paraparaumu College graduate.
Talking a little about her ex-husband, Adam was born on October 6, 1965, in Wellington, New Zealand. He is a Business Owner and a bike racing enthusiast.
On Adam’s 52nd birthday, Kimberly took to her FB a picture of him with their two adorable dogs, captioned, “Yeah it’s this guy’s birthday today! The shirt is from our friend Sachiko who was just here teaching fondant modeling class! Happy birthday, Adam!”
As for their kids, Kimberly shares a daughter named Bailey Duckett and a son with Adam. They welcomed Bailey in Jule 2018 and their son in late 2022.
Trivia: On Bailey’s 2nd birthday (during the COVID pandemic), Kimberly hosted a part with a small group of friends in two shifts, to keep the numbers low and enable social distancing.
Kimberly Bailey stands tall at a height above 5 feet 7 inches (170 cm).
Mentioning her distinct features, Kimberly has baby blue eyes, brown hair, and a fit body.
It was 2008 when Kimberly felt a lump in her breast. But it didn’t really alarm her because she’s had a history of cysts. However, on a trip back to NYC, she went to her OBGYN, and it was there she was diagnosed with a benign tumor.
After months, she then went to a doctor again and after multiple tests, they also said that it was a benign tumor. But since it was growing, she opted to have an excisional biopsy to have the entire tumor removed. Unfortunately, they found out that the tumor was malignant.
The baker was also pregnant at the time. So, she made plans with her doctors to deliver Bailey a little early so that she could start chemo as fast as possible.
Did you know: Kimberly’s mentor, Susan Carberry, who asked her to be on her (winning) team on the Ultimate Cake Off when she was diagnosed with cancer, suffered from cancer herself in October 2022.
Kimberly receives her birthday wishes on August 31 and is of the Virgo zodiac.
Kimberly hails from New York, New York.
But as of 2022, she resided in Santa Monica, California.
